The Day Emdee Wyse Turned
Seven, Everything Changed
Emdee Wyse did not go looking for trouble or magic. She was seven years old, enjoying her birthday, when something unexpected pulled her attention in a direction she could not ignore.
What followed was not a single moment, but a chain of discoveries that slowly changed how she saw the world around her. The familiar stopped feeling so simple.
This story was first told out loud, shaped by children who listened closely and demanded honesty from every chapter. They remembered details, asked hard questions, and refused to let the story end early.
Now it has been written down, exactly as it was meant to be shared.

About Steve Steventon
The Story Starts
With the Storyteller…
I spent forty years in classrooms, teaching students from age seven through postgraduate level. Many of them had special learning needs. What worked best was never a worksheet or a lecture. It was a story.
Stories helped students understand difficult ideas, remember details, and stay curious. Over time, storytelling stopped being a technique and became the way I taught.
Those stories followed me home. I told them to my children, then to my grandchildren, night after night. The ones they asked for again are what eventually became The Forgotten Time series.
I write for young readers who like to think, question, and imagine. The kind of children who want adventure, but also want stories that take them seriously.
How The Forgotten Time Came to Be
Four volumes. Nine complete books. One series that grows with your child, offering stories full of curiosity, challenges, and courage.
Volume One:
The Extraordinary Adventures of Emdee Wyse – The Girl from the Forgotten Time
Emdee Wyse is seven when she receives a gift that changes her life. She discovers a hidden world full of puzzles, strange creatures, and secrets. Emdee learns that curiosity can be risky but also rewarding. This volume follows her first steps into adventure and the choices that shape her future.
Contains: The Box, Animal Tales, The Door
Volume Two:
The Extraordinary Adventures of Preemo Bosco – The Boy from the Forgotten Time
Preemo Bosco expects a normal birthday. Instead, he is drawn into an adventure that challenges his courage and cleverness. He meets unexpected friends, faces difficult choices, and learns that stepping into the unknown can lead to surprising discoveries.
Volume Three:
Preemo and Thrilain – Extraordinary Adventures in the Forgotten Time
Preemo faces tougher challenges and must think quickly to overcome them. Thrilain lives on a magical planet where every day is unpredictable. Their stories show how courage, friendship, and careful decisions help them navigate new worlds and unexpected dangers.
Volume Four:
The More You Look, The More There Is to See
Friends are separated and must face challenges on their own. Each character encounters situations that test their strength and resourcefulness. This volume shows that growth often comes from confronting fears and learning from experiences that are unfamiliar and difficult.
Begin with Book One and follow the story as it was meant to be read.
The first book introduces Emdee, the world she knows, and the quiet shift that pulls her into something deeper.
The story moves with purpose, giving readers time to understand the characters and the choices they face.

What Readers Say About The Forgotten Time
“I bought the first book thinking it would be a quick read for my son, but we ended up reading it together every night. The stories captured his imagination in a way that had him asking questions long after we closed the book. He’s now on Volume Three and constantly tells his friends about Emdee and Preemo. It’s wonderful to see him this excited about reading.”
Emma T.
“As a school librarian, I see hundreds of children’s books every year. The Forgotten Time series stands out because it doesn’t talk down to young readers. The stories respect their intelligence while still being age-appropriate. I’ve noticed that students who start with Volume One often come back asking for the next book within days.”
Michael Chen
“My daughter has always been a reluctant reader, so I was pleasantly surprised when she asked me to buy the second book before she even finished the first one. She says she likes that Emdee makes mistakes but keeps trying. These books have given us so much to talk about during our drive to school.”
Rachel M.
“I started reading these to my seven-year-old, and now my eleven-year-old listens in too. It’s rare to find a series that can hold the attention of kids at such different ages. The writing is clear enough for younger readers but has enough depth that older children find new things to think about.”
James Patterson
“What impressed me most was how the books handle friendship and problem-solving. My students love discussing what they would do in the characters’ situations. The stories spark genuine conversations about choices and consequences without feeling like a lesson.”
Andrea Lopez
“I picked up the first volume to read aloud to my grandson during his visit, and I found myself genuinely curious about what would happen next. The storytelling has a classic quality to it that reminds me of the books I loved as a child, but it feels completely fresh and modern.”
